Advent is a season of waiting for the arrival of the joyful celebration of Jesus’ birth, and the hopeful anticipation of His return. For us, it’s four weeks of waiting for Christmas. But for the people alive when Jesus was born – it was 400 years of waiting for the fulfillment of God’s promise of rescue and restoration. For the characters in the Christmas story, waiting was definitely not easy or filled with joy and peace. They faced doubts, fears, discouragement, temptations, and challenges. Can you relate? Ever waited for God to answer a prayer?
Join us for this Advent series as we look at the choices made by people just like us, and how these choices helped them wait on God and experience the fulfillment of His greatest promise.
